Chipongian The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will offer P100 billion of term deposit facility (TDF) today higher than the previous weeks’ P80 billion volume as they predict increased demand from banks. The BSP announced late Monday that liquidity forecasters raised the TDF volume. In July, the BSP adjusted TDF volume three times after reducing reserve requirement ratio (RRR) starting last May 31. By Friday last week, a total 200 basis points (bps) has been shaved off the RRR, releasing about P195 billion of extra liquidity into the financial systen.
