The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has generated P50 billion from its weekly auction of its own securities. Data from the central bank showed on Friday that its P60-billion securities offer was 1.8 times oversubscribed after attracting bids worth P109.20 billion. The 28-day BSP bills fetched a 1.8487-percent interest rate. These will mature on November 10. “The sustained strong market interest for BSP bills continues to reflect ample liquidity in the financial system,” Bangko Sentral Deputy Governor Francisco Dakila Jr. said in a statement.
