THE Cebu Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) was looking into illegal drugs as one of the motives for the killing of a police officer in Toledo City on Tuesday. Police Capt. Alejandro Batobalonos, chief of the Cebu-PIB, said they were looking into illegal drugs transactions as one of the causes of the ambush of Master Sgt. Junard Cinco who was a member of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and PIB. “We are looking into [illegal] drugs, as he is a member of the PDEU and PIB,” Batobalonos told The Manila Times.
