While evidence on airborne transmission of coronavirus disease requires further study, the Department of Health recommended ways to improve adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces. Through Department Memorandum 2020-0429, the Health agency issued guidelines on ventilation for COVID-19 mitigation in a bid to increase non-pharmaceutical interventions to prevent the transmission of the disease.
