4 months Fish output growth lower in Q2 – PSA Manilatimes |Biz
Fish production in the country managed to grow by only 0.38 percent to 1.1 million metric tons (MT) in the second quarter of 2019 from its year-ago level, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported yesterday. The second quarter growth is lower compared to the 0.9-percent expansion in the first quarter of the year. It is also lower compared to the 0.9-percent forecast set by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
