Velasco The local subsidiary of French multinational company Air Liquide has inked a new long-term contract with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation for the supply of hydrogen to the latter’s Tabangao refinery in Batangas. Hydrogen, it was noted, is an essential component in oil refining processes – primarily in lowering the sulfur content of products, like diesel. “The new venture will secure for the Tabangao refinery a continuous supply of hydrogen for its processing needs,” Air Liquide Philippines has emphasized in a statement to the media.
