LAWYER Larry Gadon has withdrawn his motion before the Supreme Court (SC), seeking to stop the House of Representatives from giving a temporary franchise to ABS-CBN Corp. In a two-page motion, Gadon said the issue has become “moot and academic,” following the decision of the House to withdraw its second reading approval of a proposed measure, which seeks to grant the television network a five-month provisional franchise. He filed his motion to withdraw on May 21.
