By Ben Rosario The national budget for 2019 inched closer to re-enactment as the Congressional Bicameral Committee on Tuesday canceled anew its scheduled deliberations, reportedly due to issues on re-alignment of funds by both the Senate and the House of Representatives. After agreeing to set a P50 billion cap for their respective budget “insertions”, on Monday, the Senate and Lower House contingents failed to arrive at anything substantial that would swiftly push forward a bicameral conference report on the proposed 2019 General Appropriations Act on or before the body’s self-imposed deadline Wednesday.
