BACOLOD CITY: The interception of two truckloads of dynamited fish has alarmed Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante as he ordered an investigation into reports of the use of dynamite fishing in the city’s seas. According to Cadiz City police chief Maj. Robert Mansueto, the two trucks were loaded with styrofoam boxes of sardines locally known as “tuloy” worth P74,900. He said they received a tip from concerned citizen and set up a chekpoint at Barangay Tinampaan to intercept the trucks on Saturday night.
