By Analou De Vera The Philippines has now logged over 7,000 patients who have recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Department of Health said. Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire reported another 270 recovered patients, bringing the total number of survivors to 7,090 as of 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. The country’s COVID-19 cases, however, continue to increase as 562 new cases were confirmed by the DOH. This brought the Philippines’ tally to 27,799.
