8 months SC urged to lift order on CamNorte Manilatimes
TWO Camarines Norte residents filed a motion to lift the status quo ante order the Supreme Court (SC) allowing Gov. Edgardo Tallado to run for another term in the recent midterm elections. The high court, on May 10, ordered the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to include Tallado’s name in the list of gubernatorial candidates. The order overruled the previous decisions of the Comelec First Division canceling Tallado’s certificate of candidacy (CoC), saying the 2019 elections would be his run for a fourth term.
